On this day trip to Olinda and Ricardo Brennand Institute, we'll explore the main attractions of this city famous for its Carnival dolls.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Recife to start this day trip to Olinda, where we'll visit the Ricardo Brennand Institute. Once in Olinda, our first stop will be the Convent of São Francisco, known for having the biggest collection of Portuguese tiles in the state.
We will continue to Alto da Sé for a panoramic view of the city. Following this, we'll explore significant attractions such as the Cathedral, Misericórdia Church and the Slope of Mercy, monastery of São Bento, Ribeira Market, and the Casa de Artesanatos, including the famous Bonecos de Olinda.
Next, we'll drive to Carmo Church, the oldest Carmelite Order temple in Brazil, and return to Alto da Sé for lunch.
After lunch, we'll head to the Ricardo Brennand Institute, featuring the São João Castle-Museum, an art gallery, and more. This museum includes the world's largest collection of the Dutch artist Frans Post and over 3,000 bladed weapons, including 27 complete medieval suits of armour.
After a 2-hour visit to the institute, we'll return to Recife, with arrival at your hotel scheduled for 7.5 hours after pickup.
