Discover the rich heritage of Recife and Olinda on this tour in which you'll learn the origin and evolution of these two cities while walking through their streets.
Tour Details
After picking you up at your hotel between 7:30 and 8 am, we'll start with a sightseeing tour of Boa Viagem beach. An optional catamaran ride is available (not included) to explore the coastline of Recife, known as the "Brazilian Venice." For those preferring to stay on land, we will travel to Marco Zero, which is also the endpoint for the catamaran ride. From there, we will walk along Rua do Bom Jesus, recognized as the 3rd most beautiful street in the world by Architectural Digest.
Optional visits will include the Kahal Zur Israel Synagogue, the Embassy of Giant Dolls, and the Outdoor Museum. We will then proceed to Casa da Cultura, a repurposed former detention center promoting creativity.
Our tour will cover the three islands (Recife, Santo Antônio, and Boa Vista), the Maurício de Nassau Bridge, and Praça da República, home to the Government Palace, Santa Isabel Theater, and Palace of Justice. We will then move to Olinda to visit Alto da Sé for views of the Sé and Misericórdia churches. The tour concludes with a return to the pickup point.
