Description

The trip begins at the agreed time, departing from Sao Paulo to Aparecida, situated in the valley of the River Paraíba do Sul. This city welcomes thousands of pilgrims annually.

Our first stop will be Porto do Itaguaçú, where the image of Our Lady of Aparecida was discovered by fishermen in the 18th century. Here, we will visit the small chapel dedicated to the virgin along the banks of the River.

Next, we proceed to the historical centre to visit the Old Basilica, where you will have 40 minutes for exploration or shopping. Afterwards, we will cross the Passarela da Fé, a 35-metre high walkway connecting the Old Basilica with the National Shrine. This 389-metre-long pathway is a significant tourist attraction.

It will take approximately 20 minutes to cross, after which we will explore the National Shrine of Our Lady of Aparecida, highlighting the Sala das Promessas.

Later, you will have free time for lunch and city exploration, including options like the cable car, Tower Museum, or Monte das Oliveiras. We will conclude the day with a return to the initial meeting point in Sao Paulo.
