Do you want to get away from the heat of Sao Paulo? Campos do Jordão, known as the 'Brazilian Switzerland,' is the perfect place. Fall in love with its wooden houses and alpine scenery!
Description
We'll leave Sao Paulo at the indicated time and after a 2-hour journey, we'll reach Campos do Jordão, located 5,577 feet (1,700 meters) above sea level. This is the most famous winter destination in the state of Sao Paulo, attracting thousands of visitors year-round. Upon arrival, we'll explore iconic sites such as the Boa Vista Palace, the residence of the state governor, and learn about its history.
We will also visit Vila Inglesa, Alto Capivari neighborhoods, and the Ducha de Prata waterfall, where a craft market is located. As we discover the town's wooden houses and alpine surroundings, you might feel as if you're in Switzerland, not far from Sao Paulo.
Next, we'll head to the Vila Capivari neighborhood for free time to explore, take a funicular train ride, buy souvenirs, and have lunch. Don't miss dessert, as we'll stop at a chocolate factory on our way back to Sao Paulo to purchase local chocolate, regional wines, cheese, and other sweets.
We'll return to Sao Paulo between 6 and 7 pm.
