Day Trip to Blue Pond in Hokkaido

Your adventure begins at Sapporo Station, where we will gather before setting off on a 2.5-hour bus ride that promises to showcase nature's splendor. Are you ready to explore the flower fields of Hokkaido?

As we depart from Sapporo, we’ll journey along the Hokkaido Biei Sky, a route renowned as one of Japan’s most picturesque roads. The stretch known as Roller Coaster Road offers breathtaking vistas of the area's natural beauty.

We will then arrive at the mesmerizing Blue Pond, located near Biei. Here, we’ll admire the striking blue of its waters and delve into the various theories surrounding its unique hue. The true explanation of this phenomenon remains a mystery!

A delightful free buffet featuring authentic Japanese cuisine awaits us next. Refueled and invigorated, we will proceed to either Shikisai-no-oka or Tomita Farm, contingent on availability. In either location, the vibrant flower fields of Hokkaido will captivate our senses.

At Shikisai-no-oka, we will witness a valley where colors intertwine, creating a stunning tapestry of shapes and textures. If we head to Tomita Farm, we will explore one of Japan’s oldest flower fields, boasting over 150 different flower species.

To conclude our day, we’ll visit Ningle Terraces, a charming village comprising wooden houses filled with local craftspeople offering unique handmade items.

After a full day of exploration, we will commence our return journey to Sapporo, completing this 10-hour adventure through Hokkaido's breathtaking scenery.
