Are you in Sapporo? If so, join us on this trip to Noboribetsu and Lake Toya and discover a town with the most famous hot springs in Hokkaido and a lagoon in a volcanic caldera.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Sapporo Station to begin this day trip to Noboribetsu, a town famous for its hot springs and volcanic landscape.
Once in Noboribetsu, we'll visit Jigokudani, a crater formed about 10,000 years ago, and Oyunuma Pond, a hot spring with sulphur water. Depending on the season, you can take an open-air dip and relax.
Afterwards, we'll go to Lake Toya, a circular-shaped freshwater lagoon surrounded by mountains and forests. Upon arrival, you'll have time for photos.
We'll also visit the Showa Shinzan Bear Ranch, where you can observe around 100 Hokkaido brown bears. Finally, we'll stop at the Touyako Sero Lake Observatory, offering panoramic views of the area.
The next stop will be Otaru, known for its well-preserved old canal and 19th-century warehouses. During lunch, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy fresh fish, including sushi.
10 hours later, we'll return to Sapporo Station.
