Are you in Sapporo? If so, join us on this trip to Noboribetsu and Lake Toya and discover a town with the most famous hot springs in Hokkaido and a lagoon in a volcanic caldera.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Sapporo Station to begin this day trip to Noboribetsu, a town famous for its hot springs and volcanic landscape.
Once in Noboribetsu, we'll visit the Jigokudani, a crater formed about 10,000 years ago, and Oyunuma Pond, a hot spring with sulphur water. Depending on the season, you can enjoy an open-air dip.
Afterwards, we'll go to Lake Toya, a freshwater lagoon surrounded by mountains and forests. Upon arrival, you'll have time for photos.
We'll visit the Showa Shinzan Bear Ranch to watch about 100 Hokkaido brown bears. Finally, we'll visit the Touyako Sero Lake Observatory Shikotsu Toya National Park Silo Observatory for panoramic views of the area.
The next stop will be in Otaru, a former important port town noted for its well-preserved old canal and fresh fish. During our lunch break, you'll have the opportunity to taste some delicious sushi.
10 hours later, we'll conclude our trip back at Sapporo Station.
