Are you in Sapporo? If so, join us on this trip to Noboribetsu and Lake Toya and discover a town with the most famous hot springs in Hokkaido and a lagoon in a volcanic caldera.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Sapporo Station to begin this day trip to Noboribetsu, known for its hot springs and volcanic landscape.
Once in Noboribetsu, we'll visit Jigokudani, a crater formed about 10,000 years ago, and Oyunuma Pond, featuring hot spring with sulphur water. Depending on the season, you can enjoy an open-air dip.
Next, we will head to Lake Toya, a freshwater lagoon surrounded by mountains and forests. Time will be allocated for photo opportunities.
We'll visit the Showa Shinzan Bear Ranch, home to around 100 Hokkaido brown bears, followed by the Touyako Sero Lake Observatory Shikotsu Toya National Park Silo Observatory for panoramic views of the area.
Our final stop will be in Otaru, an important port town with a well-preserved old canal and 19th-century warehouses. During the lunch break, you'll have the chance to enjoy fresh sushi.
10 hours later, we will return to Sapporo Station.
