Travel back in time to discover the history of Zaragoza, from Roman Caesaraugusta to the present day. This free walking tour offers culture, cuisine, and insights about the city.

Tour Details

The tour begins at the Horse Statue behind La Lonja Exhibition Centre, where we will admire its Aragonese Renaissance architecture and the Ebro River. Next, we will visit the Museum of the Roman Forum in Plaza de la Seo, home to Roman remains from Caesaraugusta and La Seo Cathedral, which is a World Heritage Site.

We will explore the historic center's narrow streets, including the Casa del Deán, and then visit the Roman Theatre. The tour proceeds to El Tubo, the tapas area, where recommendations for local tapas will be provided. Afterwards, we cross Calle Alfonso I to the "Ciclón" passage, preserved since the 19th century.

We will then arrive at Plaza del Pilar, one of Europe's largest pedestrian squares, featuring the Town Hall, Fountain of Hispanidad, and the Cathedral-Basilica of Nuestra Señora. The tour also includes the Church of San Juan de los Panetes, Roman walls, the monument to Caesar Augustus, and the Central Market. The Torreón de la Zuda represents the Muslim heritage in the city. The tour concludes at Plaza de San Felipe, with final recommendations for visitors.
