Visit the town that suffered one of the greatest massacres after World War Two with this Srebrenica Day Trip. Discover the important and terrifying history of the northeast Bosnian town.

Srebrenica Day Trip

We'll meet at Zelenih Beretki 30 at 8 am and board a bus to Srebrenica, a town known for its tragedy.

During the two-and-a-half-hour trip, we'll pass through Vlasenica, Milici and Bratunac, towns that suffered during both the Second World War and the Bosnian War.

Upon arrival in Srebrenica, we will learn about one of the bloodiest massacres in European history after World War Two, the Srebrenica Genocide, where more than 8000 ethnic Bosnian Muslims were killed in June 1995.

We'll visit the Srebrenica Genocide Memorial in Poto?ari, inaugurated in September 2003 by former U.S. President Bill Clinton. During the tour, we will discuss the UN's ineffective role, the motivations behind the Bosnian Serb general Ratko Mladi?'s orders, and the international repercussions of this genocide. Furthermore, there will be an opportunity to meet a Srebrenica survivor who will recount their experiences from July 1995.

We will also see the UN base Dutchbat and the Genocide Museum in Srebrenica. After the visit, you'll have two hours of free time for a meal. Before returning to Sarajevo, we'll discuss the health benefits of Srebrenica's water. The tour concludes upon returning to the starting point at 4 pm.
