Butrint National Park Tour
At 9 am, we'll meet at Tea Tours & Bookstore Toena in Saranda to board our air-conditioned vehicle to the ancient city of Butrint. After a 30-minute drive, we'll reach Butrint National Park, which features an archaeological site with Greco-Roman, Byzantine, and Venetian ruins.
We will start by visiting the Roman theatre, dating back to the Hellenistic period, where many seats and part of the stage are still intact. We will also explore the Temple of Asclepius, a remnant from the ancient Greek city of Bouthroton.
Next, we will look into the Roman era by visiting a 6th-century basilica with a notable mosaic pavement. Finally, we will go to the Venetian castle to enjoy its views and visit the museum.
To conclude the tour, we will stop at the beaches of Ksamil on our return to Saranda, allowing approximately 2 hours to relax and enjoy the Ionian Sea.
After 5 hours of exploring Butrint and the beaches of Ksamil, we will drop you back off in Saranda.
