Excursion to Gjirokastër
At 9 am, we'll meet at Skënderbeu, 67 and set off to Gjirokastra, located about an hour from Saranda.
Upon arrival, the historical aspects of this fortress city will capture your attention. A guided tour will commence in this UNESCO-protected area, focusing on its Ottoman history.
Our first stop will be the Caste of Gjirokastra. We will then visit the Ethnographic Museum, which replicates interiors from 19th-century houses, followed by a visit to The House of Zakat and Scaly, the oldest residence in the city.
Next, we will explore the museum house of Ismail Kadare. Afterward, you will have free time to further discover the city and have lunch.
The tour concludes with a return to the meeting point after a total of 5 hours.
