Tour of the National Park of Blue Eye and Lekuresi Castle

Our adventure begins at Skënderbeu 67 at 9 am, where we will board a bus heading to the Blue Eye lagoon in Albania. This breathtaking natural site has been designated as a protected Natural Monument.

Upon arrival, we will dive into the enchanting surroundings, enjoying views of Mali i Gjërë Mountain alongside the exquisite freshwater spring. Known as the Blue Eye, this spring is the largest and most impressive of the 18 freshwater springs in the Mali i Gjere area. Its striking appearance, resembling a large blue eye, showcases vivid dark and light blue hues. With a depth of 50 meters (164 feet), it is embraced by lush greenery all around.

Our excursion will also take us to the remnants of Lekuresi Castle, believed to date back to 1537 when Sultan Sulejmani, known as Suleiman the Magnificent, launched an attack on Corfu. Situated atop a hill that overlooks the city of Saranda, the castle offers panoramic views of the bay of Saranda. From this vantage point, you can gaze at the road leading to Butrint as well as the islands of Ksamil and Corfu.
