On our day trip to the Wormsloe Historic Site from Savannah, we'll immerse ourselves in the State of Georgia's history and visit Bonaventure Cemetery.

Wormsloe & Bonaventure Cemetery Day Trip

We will pick you up at 9:30 am from the Savannah Visitor Centre and drive to the Bonaventure Cemetery.

During the guided tour of this cemetery, which dates back to 1846, we will walk among moss-covered oak trees that shade the 19th-century funerary monuments. The sculptures on the tombstones feature notable realism and expressiveness.

As we walk through the cemetery, we will see the tombs of prominent figures, including composer Johnny Mercer, philanthropist Mary Telfair, and politician Edward Telfair, Georgia's first governor.

Next, we'll visit the Erica Davis Lowcountry Restaurant, where you will have 1 hour of free time to sample traditional Southern cuisine, including grilled dishes and seafood specialties.

After lunch, we will visit the Wormsloe Plantation, a Historic Site located on the Isle of Hope, known for its iconic oak trees and historical significance to Georgia.

We will then make a short stop at the Savannah Byrd Cookie Company before returning to the meeting point in Savannah, arriving at 3:30 pm.
