- 7 Stunden
Balata, Saint-Pierre, and natural landscapes are highlights of this tour of northern Martinique from Fort-de-France. Experience the northernmost point of this Caribbean island.
Description
At the scheduled time, pickup will occur from the meeting point in Fort-de-France selected by you, and we will head towards the northern part of the island.
The first stop is the Balata Sacré-Cœur Church, inspired by the Sacré-Cœur in Paris. The visit will include an exploration of similarities and differences between the two monuments. Next, we will visit the Balata Garden, covering approximately 3 hectares, known for its diverse tropical flowers and plants.
After the garden, the journey continues through a tropical jungle. We'll then stop at a restaurant for a lunch of typical island dishes. Following lunch, we will proceed to the coastal town of Saint Pierre, where we will discuss the Pelée volcano eruption in 1902, which impacted the town significantly.
The final stop is a rum distillery, featuring tastings of various Caribbean drinks.
After the tour, we will return to the meeting point in Fort-de-France, approximately 7 hours after pickup.
