- 1 Bewertung
Balata, Saint-Pierre, and natural landscapes are highlights of this tour of northern Martinique from Fort-de-France.
Description
We will pick you up at the meeting point in Fort-de-France you select and proceed to the northern part of the island.
The first stop is the Balata Sacré-Cœur Church, with architecture inspired by the Sacré-Cœur in Paris. We will compare the similarities and differences between both monuments. Next, we visit the Balata Garden, a botanical space of around 3 hectares, showcasing various tropical flowers and plants known for their aromas and colors. Our journey continues through a tropical jungle with stunning landscapes.
We'll then stop at a restaurant for a delicious lunch of typical island dishes. After lunch, we will head to the coastal town of Saint Pierre, where we'll learn about the 1902 eruption of the Pelée volcano that impacted the town.
The tour concludes at a rum distillery where you can sample different Caribbean drinks.
We will return to the meeting point in Fort-de-France approximately 7 hours after the initial pickup.
