Marsala, Erice & Segesta Day Trip
Pickup begins at 8:15 am from your designated meeting point. A minibus will transport you to the Segesta Archaeological Park, a drive of 1 hour 30 minutes from Sciacca.
Upon arrival, you have 1 hour 30 minutes to explore Segesta. Despite its destruction in 306 BC, notable structures like the Doric temple remain, along with a Greek theatre offering panoramic views of the Sicilian coastline.
Next, travel to Erice, a medieval town on San Giuliano Hill, where you will have 2 hours 30 minutes to explore. Suggested sites include the Norman Castle of Venus and the 14th-century Cathedral built during the reign of Frederick III of Aragon.
Then, visit Marsala, starting with a brief stop at the salt flats featuring salt mountains and mills. Afterward, spend 1 hour in the historic center of Marsala, where you can see the Garibaldi Gate, the Spanish barracks, the Mother Church, the town hall, and local markets.
The day trip concludes with a return to the starting point by 6 pm.
