If you're in Sciacca and you'd like to visit Sicily's capital, we have it covered! On our day trip to Palermo and Monreale, you'll explore 2,500 years of history and visit an incredible cathedral with gold Byzantine mosaics.

Palermo & Monreale Day Trip

We'll pick you up at 8:15 am from your chosen meeting point and head to Palermo. The minibus journey will take just over 1 hour.

The first stop will be at the Catacombs of Palermo, where you will have 30 minutes of free time to visit this funerary complex, which provides insights into life and traditions surrounding death from the 17th to the 19th century.

Next, we will proceed to the historic centre of Palermo, where you will have 3 hours to explore at your leisure. Key monuments include the Cathedral, fountain in Piazza Pretoria, Massimo Theatre, and Norman Palace, one of the oldest royal residences in Europe.

You may wish to sample Palermo's cuisine at markets like Capo or La Vucciria. After lunch, we will drive through the Conca d'Oro Valley to Monreale, where you will have 1 hour and 30 minutes to visit.

In Monreale, the magnificent cathedral, dating back to 1174, features numerous biblical mosaics. Nearby are the squares of William II and Vittorio Emmanuele.

We will return to the starting point and drop you off around 6 pm. See you next time!
