Sport, history and food come together on this cycling tour of Segovia, a city declared a World Heritage Site.
Description
The electric bike tour of Segovia begins at the Aqueduct Monument on Calle Coronel Rexach, 27. The route follows the Aqueduct in Segovia to Plaza del Azoguejo and proceeds along the city's medieval walls to the San Lorenzo Church, where participants can view its Romanesque architectural exterior. The tour then takes the Senda de los Molinos path alongside the Eresma River, leading to the Alameda del Parral path.
Notable sites along the way include the Santa María del Parral Monastery and the Royal Mint, the first mint in Europe. The tour continues by the Vera Cruz Church before heading to the Alcázar and the viewpoint for panoramic views. The next stop is at the Puerta de San Andrés into the old Segovia Jewish Quarter, followed by the Cathedral, where participants will receive a tapa and a non-alcoholic beer.
The tour proceeds by the San Esteban Romanesque church, then to Plaza de San Martín and the Postigo viewpoint, which provides views of the Aqueduct. The tour concludes after 3 hours and covers 15 kilometres (9.32 miles).
