During this walking tour of Segovia, participants will explore the iconic monuments located in the historic center, including the remarkable Aqueduct, the synagogue, and the stunning cathedral. The guided tour of Segovia will commence at the designated time at the Plaza del Azoguejo.
From this point, we will make our way along the prominent Calle Real, uncovering significant landmarks such as Plaza de Medina del Campo, where we will view the Romanesque church of San Martín from the outside. This church, constructed in 1117, holds a rich history.
Continuing our stroll, we will pass through Plaza del Corpus to reach the site of the old Main Synagogue of Segovia. After a glimpse of the synagogue, we will head towards Plaza Mayor to appreciate the exterior design of the Cathedral of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción y San Frutos. Our journey will then lead us to the final destination, where a guided exploration of the Alcázar of Segovia awaits. This historic palace, recognized as a World Heritage Site, served as a residence for diverse Spanish monarchs. Visitors will have the chance to view the throne room inside.
We will also take in the exquisite Mudejar coffered ceiling along with various artistic treasures left by members of the Trastámara and Habsburg dynasties. A visit to the Royal Artillery College Museum, conveniently located adjacent to the parade ground, is also part of the tour.
Ultimately, after a 1 hour and 45-minute journey, we will conclude our exploration at the main entrance of the Alcázar of Segovia.
