Description
After meeting at the indicated time at the Gyeongbokgung metro station exit (opposite the stairs near the National Palace Museum doors), we will begin our guided tour of Gyeongbokgung Palace, one of Seoul's most important palaces.
We will approach the Gwanghwamun Gate, the main entrance to the palace complex. You will learn about the fascinating history of this landmark, which symbolizes Seoul's long history, including wars, invasions, and fires.
Inside the palace, we will visit the throne room known as Geunjungjeon, the King's office, and the private chambers of the King and Queen, including Sajeongjeon, Gangnyeongjeon, and Gyotaejeon. We will explore the historic decor and learn about key figures of the Joseon Dynasty.
Additionally, we will see the Amisan Garden and the Gyeonghoeru Pavilion, a temple built on a beautiful artificial lake, as well as enjoy views of the Bukaksan Mountains. An unforgettable sight!
Our guided tour will conclude after 2 hours at the exit of the palace.
