Tour of Markets in Seoul + Traditional Massage

  • 3 Stunden

Immerse yourself in South Korean culture on this tour of Seoul's markets. We'll learn about the city's fascinating history through its places of commerce. You'll even get to enjoy a traditional massage too!

Tour Details

At the designated time, we'll meet at Jegi-dong Station to begin our tour of Seoul's marketplaces.

We'll start by exploring the traditional fruit and vegetable market, Cheongnyangni, for half an hour, where you'll have the chance to try fruits that can only be found in South Korea.

The tour continues at the medicinal herb market, Yangnyeongsi, the oldest and most famous in the city.

As we walk to our next marketplace, we'll stop at the Starbucks Gyeongdong 1960, reconstructed from an old theatre, showcasing how the city combines the old with the new. We'll also visit Gold Star Radio LG to see old LG household appliances, reflecting South Korea's technological advances.

At Gyeongdong Market, we'll taste local products, including fresh strawberries and healthy drinks like omija, and explore its extensive subterranean shopping centre which preserves the market's atmosphere from the 80s.

Lastly, we'll visit Seoul's K Medi Centre for a 1-hour immersion into traditional Korean medicine, starting with the Museum of Korean Medical History and followed by a traditional massage and a cup of tea or a healthy drink at the Oriental Medicine Cafe.

This 3-hour tour will conclude at the initial meeting point.
