Carmona Day Trip
We'll travel along Rasro Street to Carmona, arriving after a 30-minute journey. This town won the bronze medal for most charming village in Andalucia in 2015. We will explore the Fortress of San Pedro, which has undergone an extensive restoration.
We'll tour the historic centre by foot, from the Cordoba Gate to the Sevilla Gate, passing through San Fernando and Blas Infante squares. The tour includes explanations of the gothic, Muslim, and baroque heritage of the churches of San Bartolomé and San Pedro.
Next, we'll visit the remains of the Roman necropolis at Carmona, notable in the Seville region. This site includes various significant remains, such as the Elephant Tomb, featuring a stone sculpture of an elephant, central to the cult of the god Mitra.
We will return to Sevilla by bus, arriving approximately 4 hours later.
