Cordoba Day Trip from Seville

Step back in time to discover the contrast between the Roman Period and the Caliphate period in the famous Andalusian city with this Cordoba Day trip from Seville.

Description

At 9 am, we'll pick you up at the established meeting points in Seville and depart for the ancient Caliphal capital of Cordoba.

After a brief stop in Carmona, a white village in Seville province, we'll arrive in the notable city of Cordoba, declared a World Heritage Site.

We'll take a guided tour of the historic center of Cordoba, with a walk through the Roman Bridge, the old Jewish quarter, the Royal Stables, and the Synagogue (closed on Mondays). We will also visit the colorful courtyards of Cordoba for photography.

After touring the old town, you'll have lunch at your own leisure, with 30 to 45 minutes of free time for shopping or exploring.

In the afternoon, we'll take a guided tour of the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba. Here, you'll see its golden mosaics, ornate arches, and the mihrab, signifying the direction to Mecca. This site is pivotal in Western Islamic art.

After the guided tour, we'll return to the meeting points in Seville, arriving at 7 pm.

Note that we can only guarantee an English-speaking guide in the Mosque-Cathedral if enough participants join. Otherwise, another language group or audio guide will be offered. The rest of the tour will be in English.
