Yosemite National Park Day Trip

  • 16 Stunden

On this tour we'll dive into the most famous national park in the United States, to discover all its secrets, including its giant sequoia groves, the world's tallest trees.

Yosemite National Park Day Trip

Having picked you up from your selected meeting point, we'll leave the city and head east.

During the approximately 4-hour drive, we'll cross the Sierra Nevada Mountains and pass through old western towns and gold rush towns. We'll discuss John Muir's role in establishing America's first protected wilderness area.

Once in Yosemite, we'll stop at the Tunnel View overlook to see sights such as Half Dome, Cathedral Peak, and Bridalveil Falls.

Afterwards, near Yosemite Valley Lodge, you'll have free time for lunch and to explore the park. Suggested activities include walking to Yosemite Falls or relaxing by the Merced River.

After regrouping, we'll drive past El Capitan Meadow and stop at the Valley View overlook for views of the Merced River and Cathedral Rocks.

Our final stop will be the Giant Sequoia Grove (Tuolumne Grove), home to the Grizzly Giant Sequoia, one of the largest sequoias on the planet.

Itinerary Changes

From November to March or in adverse weather, the hike through Tuolumne Grove may be substituted with more time in Yosemite Valley.
