On this tour we'll dive into the most famous national park in the United States, to discover all its secrets, including its giant sequoia groves, the world's tallest trees.

Yosemite National Park Day Trip

After picking you up from your selected meeting point, we will depart the city heading east through the Sierra Nevada, passing ghost towns from the old west and the gold rush.

Upon arrival at Yosemite, we will begin our tour, visiting highlights like the Tunnel View lookout point, Half Dome, Bridalveil Falls, and Yosemite Village.

Around noon, we will stop at Yosemite Valley Lodge for free time to have lunch and explore the park. Options include hiking trails, visiting Yosemite Falls, or taking photos at the Swinging Bridge.

After a couple of hours, we will visit El Capitan, the largest granite monolith in the world, followed by the Valley View lookout for panoramic views of El Capitan and the Merced River.

Our final stop before leaving will be the giant sequoia forest at Tuolumne Grove, featuring the "Grizzly Giant," one of the largest sequoias with a base nearly 30 meters (98 feet) in circumference.

We will commence our return journey to San Francisco, arriving 15.5 hours later.

Itinerary Changes

Due to safety reasons, winter, or adverse weather conditions, the giant sequoia forest may not be visitable. Instead, stops will be made at Meadow Loop and Swinging Bridge.

The bus trip from San Francisco to Yosemite is 4 hours.

If you prefer to avoid a long bus trip twice in one day, consider the 2-day trip to Yosemite for a night in the National Park. For extended exploration, opt for the 3-day trip to Yosemite.
