Day Trip to Petra

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh to begin this excursion. Are you ready?

We'll arrive at the Nuweibaa port, around two hours away on the Sinai Peninsula, where we'll board a ferry to Aqaba, approximately two hours away.

From Aqaba, we'll take a bus for a 2-hour trip to Petra. During our visit, we'll explore the Petra archaeological site, the ancient capital of the Nabataeans. This UNESCO World Heritage Site features 'The Treasury' (Al Khazneh), a notable temple carved from sandstone, famously recognized for its portrayal in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

We will also see the remains of the amphitheatre and the Corinthian tomb, significant archaeological finds in the Jordanian desert. The visit will include insights into the Nabataean civilization and its historical significance to Romans and Arabs.

After the visit, we'll have an all-you-can-eat buffet lunch in Petra.

Following lunch, we'll return by bus to the Aqaba port, then take the ferry back to Nuweibaa. Finally, we will bus back to your hotel, arriving around 10 pm.
