Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we will pick you up in Sharm El Sheikh and travel to the center of the Sinai peninsula.
After approximately two and a half hours by bus, we will arrive in the mountainous region to begin our night ascent of Mount Sinai, climbing 750 steps to the summit. The effort will be rewarded with a sunrise view from the location where Moses is believed to have received the 10 commandments.
After descending, we will visit St. Catherine's Monastery, the oldest in Christendom, a UNESCO World Heritage Site established in the 6th century. We will explore the Basilica of the Transfiguration, an Orthodox-Christian temple rich in artistic heritage.
The monastery houses a large collection of codices, making it the second most important collection globally, following the Vatican archives. Outside, we will see the burning bush where Moses is said to have encountered an angel.
Following the visit, we will return to Sharm El Sheikh, arriving approximately 15 hours after departure.
