Mesi Bridge, Drisht & Rozafa Castle Tour

On this tour of Shkodra, we will visit the main attractions in and around the city, including the Mesi Bridge, the medieval village of Drisht, and Rozafa Castle.

At the appointed time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Shkodra and start our tour of the surrounding areas. Our first destination is the Mesi Bridge, located 3 miles (5 kilometers) from Shkodra. This 18th-century viaduct spans the Kir River and is one of the longest Ottoman bridges in the region, connecting the town of Mes with Drisht.

Next, we will explore Drisht, visiting the ruins of Drisht Castle, a 13th-century fortress situated 984 feet (300 meters) above sea level. We will observe the houses and archaeological remains found in this area and gain insight into its history.

Finally, we will return to Shkodra to visit Rozafa Castle, an essential landmark of the city. Here, we will learn about its history, dating from the Illyrian occupation to its invasion by the Romans in 167 B.C. The tour will conclude with beautiful views from the castle.

We will end the tour at your hotel after three hours of sightseeing.
