Mesi Bridge, Drisht & Rozafa Castle Tour

On this tour of Shkodra, we will visit the main attractions in and around the city, including the Mesi Bridge, the medieval village of Drisht, and Rozafa Castle.

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Shkodra and begin our tour of the surrounding areas.

Our first stop will be the Mesi Bridge, located 3 miles (5 kilometers) from Shkodra. This 18th-century viaduct over the Kir River is one of the longest Ottoman bridges in the region, connecting the town of Mes with Drisht, our next destination.

In Drisht, we will explore the ruins of Drisht Castle, a 13th-century fortress situated on a hilltop at an elevation of 984 feet (300 meters). Additionally, we will examine the houses and archaeological remains discovered in this area of Albania while learning about its history.

We will then return to Shkodra to visit Rozafa Castle, an important historical site. Here, we will learn about its history from the Illyrian occupation through the Roman invasion in 167 B.C. The tour will conclude with stunning views from Rozafa Castle.

The entire tour lasts three hours and will conclude at your hotel.
