Vientiane Guided City Tour Itinerary
On the morning of your tour, at approximately 9 am, your guide will collect you from your hotel in Vientiane. The first stop is Wat Si Saket, the oldest Buddhist monastery in the Laos capital, where you will learn about its well-preserved architecture. Next, explore Haw Pha Kaeo, which houses a museum dedicated to religious art, and enjoy views of the Presidential Palace on the banks of the Mekong River.
Midway through your tour, visit the COPE visitor centre to understand the impact of Vietnam War bombings in Laos, the most-bombed country in the world. Afterward, you’ll visit Patuxai, a monumental arch dedicated to soldiers from World War II and Laos' war for independence.
Next, see Pha That Luang, a gold-covered Buddhist stupa and national symbol of Laos. Finally, walk along the picturesque Mekong riverbank before returning to your hotel.
Full-Day Vientiane Tour
For a deeper immersion, opt for a full-day guided tour. Beginning at 9 am, you will visit the same attractions as the half-day tour, followed by a delicious lunch in a local restaurant.
After lunch, visit Buddha Park, home to over 200 Buddha statues. Then, you will proceed to the Laos Disabled Women's Development Centre, learning about their advocacy for women with disabilities. After eight hours, the tour concludes back at your hotel.
