East Java Volcano Private Tour: 3 Days from Surabaya to Bali

Mount Bromo and Ijen volcanic crater are prominent natural attractions in Java. This three-day tour concludes in Bali.

Activity Details

Day 1: Surabaya Airport

Your guide will meet you at Juanda International Airport or Surabaya train station. You will travel through East Java to your hotel at Mount Bromo, a journey of approximately three hours, with a stop for lunch before check-in.

Day 2: Mount Bromo

Departure is at 3:30 am to view the sunrise from Gunung Penanjakan, over 9000 feet (2,770 metres) above sea level. Following the sunrise, you will descend toward the volcano's caldera and can ride horseback up the slopes of Mount Bromo. After the visit, return to the hotel for breakfast and proceed to Ketapang to rest for the next day's activities.

Day 3: Ijen – Ketapang – Bali

On the final day, gather at 2 am for a visit to the Ijen volcanoes. You will explore the volcanic landscape, including its turquoise acidic lake and electric-blue flames. After the excursion, return to Ketapang for a ferry ride to Gilimanuk in Bali, marking the end of the tour.

To climb the Ijen volcanoes, a medical certificate confirming your good health is required. This certificate must be obtained in Indonesia, with assistance provided to visit the clinic on the first day.
