East Java Volcano Tour: 3 Days from Surabaya to Bali

Mount Bromo and Ijen volcanic crater are two of Java's natural attractions. This three-day tour of Indonesia concludes in Bali.

Description

Day 1: Surabaya Airport

Your guide will meet you at Juanda International Airport or Surabaya train station. You will be transported through rural East Java to your hotel at Mount Bromo, with an estimated travel time of three hours, including a stop for a hearty lunch. Overnight accommodation is arranged at the hotel.

Day 2: Mount Bromo

Depart from the hotel at 3:30 am to view the sunrise from Gunung Penanjakan at over 9000 feet (2,770 metres). Witness the sunrise over Bromo and Seremu volcanoes, then descend to the caldera of Mount Bromo, with an option to ride a horse up the volcano's slopes. After the visit, return to the hotel for breakfast, then continue to Ketapang.

Day 3: Ijen – Ketapang – Bali

Gather in the hotel lobby at 2 am to visit the Ijen volcanoes. Marvel at the turquoise acidic lake and the blue flames. After the tour, travel back to Ketapang to catch a ferry to Gilimanuk in Bali, concluding the three-day tour.
