Angkor Wat Temples Tour Itinerary

Meet at The Blanc Residence and head north to the ancient city of Angkor, the Khmer capital from the 9th to the 15th century. Begin with a guided tour of Angkor Wat, built in the early 12th century and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992. Witness Buddhist monks in prayer as you learn about the site's rich history.

Next, visit Bayon, known for its bas-reliefs of smiling faces. Proceed to Ta Prohm, a monastery reclaimed by nature, featuring stone walls enveloped by jungle roots, also known for its appearance in Tomb Raider.

Break for lunch at a local restaurant to recharge before exploring Angkor Thom, the "Great City." Enter through the Southern Gate and discover the temple mountain Baphuon and other significant ruins.

During your tour, visit the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King, learning the history of the latter before heading to the Phimeankas pyramid temple. You will return to the meeting point in Siem Reap around 5:30 pm.
