Angkor Wat Temples Tour Itinerary
Meet at The Blanc Residence and head north to begin your tour of the ancient city of Angkor, a former Khmer capital from the 9th to the 15th century.
Start with a guided tour of Angkor Wat, built in the early 12th century and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992. Experience the historical significance of the temple and observe Buddhist monks at prayer.
Next, visit Bayon, noted for its bas-reliefs of smiling faces, followed by Ta Promh, a Buddhist monastery overgrown with jungle, a site featured in Tomb Raider.
Enjoy a lunch break at a local restaurant before continuing to Angkor Thom, which means 'Great City'. Explore the restored Southern Gate and its magnificent ruins, including the nearly 1000-year-old temple mountain Baphuon.
Visit the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King, before exploring Phimeankas, a three-tier pyramid temple in the Royal Palace enclosure.
Return to the meeting point in Siem Reap around 5:30 pm.
