Floating Village Tour Itinerary

On the morning of your tour, you'll be picked up from your hotel in Siem Reap and head to the river port where you'll board a boat. As you cruise up the river, you’ll leave the tourist trail behind and delve deep into rural Cambodia, passing the green rice paddies essential to the country's economy.

Sailing up the river, you'll reach the traditional Cambodian pagodas, markets and houses where local people live their daily lives. The wooden buildings of the village of Kampong Phluk are constructed on stilts in the Tonle Sap Lake, making it a true floating village.

You’ll discover how people live in this unique setting and learn about the significance of different seasons in their routines. Changes in water levels throughout the year affect how the locals, a population of around 3000, live and work.

At the end of this experience, you'll return to your hotel in Siem Reap.
