Phnom Kulen Trip
Pickup will occur between 7:40 am and 8:10 am from your hotel in Siem Reap for a drive of approximately 45 kilometres (27 miles) to Phnom Kulen, known as the Holy Mountains of Kulen.
Phnom Kulen National Park features the ruins of the ancient city of Mahendraparvata. Your guide will provide an overview of its history.
Here, you will see the River of a Thousand Lingas, with its hand-carved riverbed from the 9th century, which includes Apsara figures and Vishnu statues submerged in the water.
The tour will proceed to the Preah Ang Thom Pagoda and the mountain summit where the giant reclining Buddha is located. Time will be allocated to appreciate the architectural details of the pagoda.
Next, you will visit the Kulen waterfall for a chance to take a dip in its natural pool, followed by a lunch break - remember to bring your own picnic.
The return to your Siem Reap hotel is scheduled for around 4:30 pm.
