Private 2 Day Tour of Angkor Temples
Day 1
After being picked up from your hotel between 7:45 am and 8 am, we'll set off on our tour of the iconic ruins of Siem Reap, ready to discover the fascinating history of Cambodia's Khmer Empire.
Our private tour will begin by entering the south gate of Angkor Thom, the ancient city from which the last Khmer kings ruled. Here, explore the Baphuon Temple and interpret the bas-reliefs of Bayon Temple.
Next, we'll visit Ta Prohm, an ancient Buddhist monastery overtaken by the jungle, followed by a lunch break to recharge. Afterward, we'll head to Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world, which has remained active as a place of worship since the 12th century.
At the end of the day, you'll be dropped off at your hotel in Siem Reap around 5 pm.
Day 2
At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel for the grand tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Our exploration will include Pre Rup Temple, traditionally associated with funeral rites. We will also visit Ta Som and Preah Khan, witnessing Khmer temple architecture merging with overgrown jungle. Continuing, we'll reach Neak Paon, a beautiful temple on an artificial island.
At 1 pm, we'll take a lunch break at a local restaurant before heading to Banteay Srei, known for its intricately detailed reliefs. Our final stop will be a gallery showcasing information about Banteay Srei's restoration.
We will return to your hotel in Siem Reap and, if desired, your guide can stop at additional sites such as the Akira Landmine Museum, Angkor Butterfly Centre, or Palm Sugar Village on the way back.
