Dinner & Apsara Dance Show: what to expect?

Your evening of cultural immersion will begin in a tuk-tuk, a popular mode of transport in Asia. You'll be picked up from your hotel in Siem Reap at around 6:30 pm and taken to a Theatre of Folklore located in the city center.

Once you're comfortably settled in the theatre, you'll enjoy a traditional Cambodian show featuring talented dancers from various regions of Cambodia, adorned in traditional costumes, performing classical ballet. The Apsara dance, which has its origins in the 7th century, plays a vital role in Cambodia's cultural identity and is deeply rooted in Hindu and Buddhist mythology.

As well as being enchanted by the dance show, you'll have the opportunity to savor a delicious buffet dinner. Delight in typical Cambodian specialties, with a notable highlight being the traditional dish known as "amok". This delectable meal features curry steam-cooked in banana leaves and can include various ingredients such as chicken and fish. A true delight for the taste buds!

At the end of this remarkable evening, around 8:30 pm, transportation will be provided to return you to your hotel.

HOW IT WORKS?

The experience begins with a tuk-tuk pickup service from your hotel in Siem Reap. After arriving at the Theatre of Folklore, you'll be seated for the performance. The dance show lasts approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, allowing ample time to appreciate the artistry of the dancers.
