Want to explore the seabed? In this snorkeling activity at Caño Island, we'll set sail from Sierpe and dive into one of the paradises of the Pacific coast of Costa Rica.

Snorkeling at Caño Island

We'll meet at 7:50 am at Sierpe's Pier, where we'll board a boat that will take us to Caño Island. The first part of the trip lasts 45 minutes through the Térraba-Sierpe area, the largest wetland in Costa Rica, followed by 30 minutes sailing across the Pacific towards the Caño Island Biological Reserve.

Upon arrival, you'll have three hours of free time to snorkel at Caño Island, where you can observe various types of tropical fish at shallow depths. After this first dive, we'll take a break for a picnic lunch on one of the island's beaches, featuring local specialties.

After lunch, we will rest on the beach before returning to the water for an additional one and a half hours to explore the seabed, including the beautiful coral reefs. At the conclusion of this second dive, we'll return to the boat and begin our trip back to the departure dock, with an expected arrival at 4:15 pm.
