Tour Details
Vlad Tepes, also called Vlad III, Vlad the Impaler, and Dracul, was a 15th-century Prince of Wallachia whose life is surrounded by legends. The tour will explore the truths behind these tales as we discover his medieval roots.
We will meet at the Clock Tower Museum at the scheduled time to start our guided exploration of Sighi?oara. The Clock Tower, which stands at 64 meters tall, is the most notable of the nine remaining defensive towers in the city's fortress and is recognized as one of the best-preserved medieval citadels in Europe.
The route will take us through the historic center of Sighi?oara, leading to the old church on a hilltop, a prime example of Gothic architecture in Transylvania, offering exceptional views of the town.
As we navigate the cobbled streets of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, we will share unique facts and stories about the area, including the house where Vlad Tepes was born and details of local vampire legends. Participants may find the information surprising.
After two hours of exploration, the tour will conclude near the starting point.
