Kandy Private Excursion

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Sigiriya at 7 am. Without wasting time, we'll board the vehicle and drive 90 kilometers south to Kandy, about two and a half hours away.

Over the course of the day, we'll explore the second most important city in Sri Lanka, an important place of pilgrimage for Buddhists. Key locations include the Royal Botanic Gardens of Peradeniya with more than 4,000 different species of plants, the artificial lake of Kandy stretching over 3 kilometers, the statue of Bahirawakanda Vihara, and a silk factory.

No visit to Kandy is complete without stopping by Sri Dalada Maligawa, known as the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, an important pilgrimage site for Buddhists worldwide. Discover its history during the tour.

During the excursion, the guide will recommend the best restaurants in town for lunch and local cuisine. Kandy is noted for its pastry shops, making it essential to try their sweets.

At the end of the excursion, we'll return to Sigiriya and drop you back at your hotel by 7 pm.
