Andean Condor Watching + Puracé National Park Tour
We will pick you up at your hotel in Silvia at 6:40 am and head to the Puracé National Natural Park. The bus ride will take approximately two and a half hours.
Upon arrival at over 3400 metres (11155 feet) above sea level, we will engage in a bird-watching activity to spot the Andean condor, one of the largest flying birds in the world. We will share facts about this endangered species, which features on the coats of arms of Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, and Bolivia.
Following the bird-watching session, we will explore the landscapes of the Puracé National Park, including the valley of frailejones, with 90 varieties found in the country.
Our stops will include the waterfall of the Bedón river, the Andulbio lagoon, and the wishing well. You will have time to take photos of these natural attractions.
Next, we will visit the thermal baths of San Juan, a set of pools and rivers with colorful hot waters. We will discover the reasons behind these colors.
Before returning to Silvia, we will have a delicious lunch featuring fish, grilled meat, or chicken, served with side dishes such as rice, salad, or 'patacones' (twice-fried plantain chips), and a drink.
After lunch, we will return to the bus and conclude the activity, arriving back at your hotel.
