Andean Condor Watching + Puracé National Park Tour

Pickup from your hotel in Silvia is at 6:40 am, followed by a bus ride to the Puracé National Natural Park, lasting approximately two and a half hours.

Upon arrival at over 3400 meters (11155 feet) above sea level, we'll engage in a bird-watching activity to spot the Andean condor, one of the largest flying birds in the world, and learn about this endangered species featured on the coats of arms of Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, and Bolivia.

After an hour of observing the condor, we'll continue to explore the Puracé National Park's landscapes, including the valley of frailejones, which is home to 90 plant varieties endemic to the páramos.

Next, we’ll visit the waterfall of the Bedón river, the Andulbio lagoon, and the wishing well, where you can admire the crystal clear waters of these natural attractions and take photos.

We'll conclude our tour at the thermal baths of San Juan, known for their grey, turquoise, pink, and green waters, and discover the reasons behind these colors.

Before returning to Silvia, we'll enjoy a delicious lunch featuring fish, grilled meat, or chicken, accompanied by rice, salad, or 'patacones', and a drink. After lunch, we'll head back to the bus and return you to your hotel.
