Silvia Moorland Hike

Enjoy the typical landscapes of the Colombian department of Cauca on this hiking route through the Silvia moorland. We'll see high mountains and even participate in an ancestral rite!

Silvia Moorland Hike

At 7 am, we'll meet at Parque Principal, the main park of Silvia, to start a hike that will take us to discover the beautiful landscapes surrounding this town.

When booking, you can choose a 4 or 9-hour hiking tour. Regardless of the option selected, we will have ample time to explore the local flora and fauna and capture numerous photographs of the Silvia moorland.

During the hike, we will follow an ancestral trail that historically linked the departments of Cauca and Huila. Participants will see small springs and high mountains and encounter several specimens of frailejones, a typical shrub of the area known for its slow growth, taking up to 100 years to reach 2 meters in height.

If you choose the 9-hour option, we will also participate in a ritual of the Misak tribe, where we will make an offering to Mother Earth, experiencing a significant spiritual moment.

The hiking route will conclude at the starting point at 11 am or 4 pm, depending on the duration chosen.
