Silvia Moorland Hike

Enjoy the typical landscapes of the Colombian department of Cauca on this hiking route through the Silvia moorland. We'll see high mountains and even participate in an ancestral rite!

Silvia Moorland Hike

At 7 am, we'll meet at Parque Principal in Silvia to start a hike that will showcase the beautiful landscapes of the area.

When booking, you can choose between a 4 or 9-hour hiking tour. Both options will allow ample time to explore the local flora and fauna and capture photos of the wilderness of the Silvia moorland.

During the hike, we'll walk along an ancestral trail that once connected the departments of Cauca and Huila. Participants will encounter small springs and high mountains, as well as discover several specimens of frailejones, which can take up to 100 years to grow 2 meters!

For the 9-hour route, we will participate in a ritual of the Misak tribe to make an offering to Mother Earth, marking a spiritual experience.

The hike concludes at 11 am or 4 pm, depending on the duration selected.
