Secrets of the Misak culture, traditional markets, and breathtaking panoramic views are some of the highlights of this tour of Silvia.

Tour of Local Markets + Trip to an Indigenous Community

We'll meet at 8 am at Silvia's main park to begin our tour.

First, we'll visit a farmer's market where we will explore local products for one hour. We will sample treats like fruit and bread before heading to a handicraft market for souvenirs such as jewelry, embroidery, and hats.

After shopping, we'll take a minibus to an orchard cultivated by the Misak people. Here, we will learn about their customs and traditions, and local villagers will demonstrate their agricultural practices. We will also visit a village house to understand the Misak lifestyle.

Our next stop will be at the Casa Payán Cultural Center. We will discuss the significance of plants in Misak culture and their use in medicinal treatments. Participants will have the opportunity to try a locally-made traditional drink.

Finally, we will visit Belen hill for panoramic views of Silvia. We will conclude the tour between 2 and 3 pm back at the starting point.
