Tour of Local Markets + Trip to an Indigenous Community

We'll meet at 8 am at Silvia's main park to begin our tour of this beautiful Colombian city and its surroundings.

First, we'll visit a centrally located farmer's market for an hour to experience the vibrant atmosphere and sample local treats like fruit and bread. Then, we will continue to a handicraft market to explore jewelry, embroidery, hats, and other products, ideal for souvenirs.

After shopping, we'll board a minibus to an orchard cultivated by the Misak people. Here, we will learn about their customs and traditions, with locals demonstrating their agricultural practices. We will also visit a village house to gain insights into the Misak lifestyle.

Next, we will go to the Casa Payán Cultural Center to discuss the significance of plants in Misak culture and how they create medicinal treatments, including tasting a locally-made traditional drink.

We will conclude our tour at Belen hill, a lookout point offering panoramic views of Silvia. Prepare your cameras!

The tour will finish between 2 and 3 pm back at the starting point.
