Tour of Local Markets + Trip to an Indigenous Community

We will meet at 8 am at Silvia's main park to commence our tour of this charming Colombian city and its surroundings.

First, we will visit a centrally located farmer's market for an hour, experiencing the lively atmosphere and sampling local treats such as fruit and bread. Next, we will proceed to a handicraft market, where we will find jewelry, embroidery, hats, and more, ideal for souvenirs.

After shopping, we will board a minibus to an orchard cultivated by the Misak people. During this visit, we will learn about their customs and traditions from local villagers and observe their agricultural practices. We will also tour a local house to understand the Misak lifestyle.

The next stop will be the Casa Payán Cultural Center, where we will discuss the significance of plants in Misak culture and their use in medicinal treatments. Participants will have the opportunity to try a locally-made traditional drink.

We will then proceed to Belen hill for panoramic views of Silvia. Get your cameras ready!

The tour will conclude between 2 and 3 pm at the starting point.
