Yanahuanca, Huarautambo, Astobamba & Villo Excursion

We'll pick you up at 9 am at your hotel in Cerro de Pasco to begin a full-day excursion to the most representative attractions of the central plateau of Peru.

Our first stop is the town of Yanahuanca, a two-hour drive through the Chaupihuaranga Valley. Upon arrival, we'll visit the main square, featuring the colonial-style Church of San Pedro, and stroll through its main avenues.

Next, we will visit the Inca archaeological complex of Huarautambo, exploring significant structures such as the Inca Wasi or Palace of the Inca, and the Phaqcha, the ceremonial altar.

We will walk through the stone portico associated with the renowned Inca Trail and view the crystal-clear waterfalls of the site. Afterward, we will proceed to Astobamba, accessible via an old Inca bridge. Astobamba is known for its ancient Wari culture features including fountains, aqueducts, and bridges.

Following the visit to Astobamba, you will have free time for lunch before we continue to the thermal baths of Villo. Here, you will learn about the thalassotherapeutic properties of its volcanic medicinal waters rich in sulfur, iron, and silicon, and have the opportunity to enjoy them.

We will return to Cerro de Pasco, with an estimated drop-off at your hotel by 6 pm.
