Yanahuanca, Huarautambo, Astobamba & Villo Excursion

Pickup will be at 9 am at your hotel in Cerro de Pasco for a full-day excursion to attractions in the central plateau of Peru.

The first destination is Yanahuanca, a two-hour drive through the Chaupihuaranga Valley. Upon arrival, visit the main square and the colonial-style Church of San Pedro, followed by a walk through the main avenues.

Next, we will proceed to the neighboring Inca archaeological complex of Huarautambo, where we will explore ancient structures such as the Inca Wasi (Palace of the Inca) and the Phaqcha, the ceremonial altar. We will cross the stone portico of the Inca Trail to visit the crystalline waterfalls of the archaeological site, then walk to Astobamba, accessible via an old Inca bridge. Astobamba showcases the Wari culture's water worship through its fountains, aqueducts, and bridges from the pre-Inca era.

Following the visit to Astobamba, there will be free time for lunch before visiting the thermal baths of Villo, where you can learn about the thalassotherapeutic properties of its volcanic medicinal waters rich in minerals and enjoy them yourself.

We will return to Cerro de Pasco, with arrival at your hotel scheduled for 6 pm.
