National Palace of Sintra & Gardens
This ticket allows access to the National Palace of Sintra, a former royal residence declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1995. The palace's origins date back to the 10th century, initially serving as a residence for Arab governors. In the 13th century, it was associated with Denis I of Portugal and became the residence of Portuguese monarchs. The Lisbon earthquake of 1755 led to the destruction of parts of the building, which were later rebuilt to reflect its 16th-century appearance. Visitors can see the Spanish-Mudejar style rooms, the Hall of the Coats of Arms, the Hall of the Arabs, the Hall of the Swans, and the royal kitchens.
The gardens have been restored by Parques de Sintra. Since 2013, the complex has been part of the European Network of Royal Residences.

The National Palace of Sintra is open Monday to Sunday from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm. These hours are subject to change. On December 31, the monument will close at 1 pm.
