Palace of Monserrate Ticket

With this ticket, you can visit the Palace of Monserrate and its English landscape-style garden, one of the most beautiful in Portugal. Built in the 19th century by the English nobleman Francis Cook, the palace amalgamates Gothic, Oriental, and Mozarabic elements. It became a social hub for the Portuguese and English aristocracy during the 19th century, attracting notable figures like Lord Byron, who referenced Monserrate in his poem Childe Harold's Pilgrimage. Visitors can explore winding paths, lakes, and waterfalls, as well as over 3,000 species of exotic plants, including camellias and bamboos.

The Park and Palace of Monserrate are open Monday to Sunday:

Palace: 9 am - 6:30 pmGardens: 9 am - 7 pm

On December 31, the monuments will close at 1 pm. These schedules are subject to change.

Children Under 6

Children under 6 years old do not require a ticket, but their tickets must be collected at the ticket office of the Palace of Monserrate.
