Enjoy a kayak tour around Lough Hyne, one of the few saltwater lakes in Ireland. You will see lush nature, dip into the deep blue waters, and sail on beautiful Castlehaven Bay.

Lough Hyne Kayak Tour

We will meet at the main parking lot of Lough Hyne at the scheduled time. We will attend a short class to learn how to handle the kayaks and to ensure safety during the activity.

Participants will practice and climb into the kayaks to sail the waters of Lough Hyne, recognized as one of the most notable saltwater lakes in Northern Europe.

While admiring the nature surrounding Lough Hyne, we will paddle until we cross the short channel known as The Narrows, connecting us to the Celtic Sea.

We will explore the bay of Castlehaven and observe cliffs, castles, sea animals, and more. The tour concludes back at the original starting point after approximately three and a half hours of kayaking.
