Askja Volcano Day Trip

Embark on a day trip to the Askja Volcano starting at Myvatn Lake in Reykjahlíð. Enjoy a scenic drive through Iceland's landscapes with stops along the way. After a three to four-hour journey, arrive at Askja Volcano.

Spend approximately two and a half hours exploring the Askja Caldera area. Capture the unique scenery, relax in the mountain air, or take a short walk to Askja Lake and the Viti Crater. Weather permitting, you can take a dip in the natural hot springs with temperatures between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius.

Conclude the tour with a stop in Drekagil before returning to Reykjahlíð.
