Do you want to enjoy a relaxing day at a spa? The Mývatn thermal baths are a must in Iceland. You'll soak in warm waters as you admire the volcanic landscape.
Mývatn Thermal Baths
Located less than an hour's drive from Akureyri, Lake Mývatn showcases Iceland's geothermal landscapes. To utilize its warm waters, reservoirs were created for both tourists and locals for relaxing thermal baths.
The spa's swimming pools maintain a temperature of around 36-40 degrees, contrasting pleasantly with the cold climate. The waters are 100% natural and contain volcanic minerals, eliminating the need for chlorine or chemicals, and are believed to have therapeutic properties.
In addition, there are saunas available for enhanced relaxation. Your ticket provides access for three hours, allowing you to enjoy the facilities and experience the area's volcanic magic.
