Do you want to enjoy a relaxing day at a spa? The Mývatn thermal baths are a must in Iceland. You'll soak in warm waters as you admire the volcanic landscape.
Mývatn Thermal Baths
Located less than an hour's drive from Akureyri, Lake Mývatn exemplifies Iceland's geothermal landscapes. The warm waters have led to the creation of reservoirs used by tourists and locals for relaxing thermal baths.
The water temperature in the spa's swimming pools ranges from 36-40 degrees, providing a pleasant contrast to the cold climate. The water is 100% natural and does not require the use of chlorine or other chemicals due to volcanic minerals. It is also believed to have therapeutic properties.
You will find saunas available for additional heat. For the three hours included in your ticket, you can enjoy the facilities at your leisure and experience the area's volcanic magic.
