Ribeira Sacra Tourist Train Ride

Travel through the Ribeira Sacra on a tourist train and discover its historical and cultural heritage in a comfortable and fun way!

Description

We'll meet in the center of Doade at the selected time and board a tourist train to explore the landscapes of the Ribeira Sacra, one of the most intriguing regions of Galicia.

During the train journey, we'll travel along the steep slopes of the Sil Canyon, an impressive gorge shaped by the river. We'll enter the Amandi area, known for its terraced vineyards from Roman times. These vineyards, termed ‘heroic’ due to their incline, provide views of the riverbank and terraces.

We'll continue through the Galician landscape, passing ancient vineyards, and while enjoying the beauty, we'll learn about the history and culture of the Ribeira Sacra, famed for its monasteries and wine tradition, which has preserved its charm over centuries.

After an hour of the train ride, we'll return to the starting point and finish the tour.
