Join us on a fantastic survival course in Pyhä-Luosto National Park during which you will learn how to build a quinzee, the traditional Lapp igloo.

Arctic Survival Course

We'll meet at Amethys store in Luosto at the indicated time before heading to Pyhä-Luosto National Park. Once there, you will take part in a workshop where you learn the secrets of the arctic nature, as well as the tricks to survive in the Lappish weather.

During the class, you will receive all the necessary equipment, such as sleeping bags, thermal clothes, arctic mats, and different stove systems. Afterward, we will enjoy a delicious hot meal consisting of sausages, snacks, and homemade bread.

Feeling reenergized, we continue the survival course by building a quinzee - a traditional Lappish igloo. Once we have built the snow shelter, we will head inside and feel like genuine Eskimos.

After learning to survive in the Arctic for a day, we'll leave Pyhä-Luosto National Park and return to the original starting point after a total of 6 hours.
