Plovdiv Full-Day Tour

Meet near the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Sofia at 8:45 am for a 2-hour bus journey to Plovdiv, the oldest inhabited city in Bulgaria.

Upon arrival, you will encounter numerous ancient monuments that are well preserved. Designated as the European Capital of Culture in 2019, Plovdiv is rich in history and architecture.

Walk through the narrow cobbled streets of the picturesque old town, enjoying views from the top of the three hills.

The main highlight is the 2nd-century roman amphitheatre, one of the largest structures in the Ancient Roman Empire. You will enter this remarkable site and learn about its history with our expert guide.

Next, visit the elegant Dzhumaya Mosque, featuring 9 domes and an interior fountain. Finally, enjoy some free time to sample local food or shop at local stores.

After the tour, we will return to the starting point between 5 and 5:30 pm.
