Plovdiv Full-Day Tour

Meeting point is near the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Sofia at 8:45 am. We will depart on a bus for a 2-hour journey to Plovdiv, the oldest inhabited city in Bulgaria.

Upon arrival, visitors will find a wealth of ancient monuments well preserved. Plovdiv, chosen as the European Capital of Culture in 2019, showcases a rich history and architecture.

Participants will explore the cobbled streets of the charming old town and enjoy views from the three hills. The highlight of the visit is the 2nd-century Roman amphitheater, one of the largest structures of the Ancient Roman Empire. An expert guide will provide insights into its history.

The tour continues with a visit to the Dzhumaya Mosque, featuring 9 domes and an interior fountain. Free time will be provided to experience local cuisine or shop in local stores.

After the tour, we will return to the starting point between 5 and 5:30 pm.

An option is available for those who prefer to visit Plovdiv independently, which includes only return transportation from Sofia.
