Join us on a trip to the Seven Rila Lakes and the Monastery to experience some of the most beautiful landscapes in Bulgaria and one of its important medieval monuments.
Tour Details
We'll meet at the indicated time at Vasil Levski Square and depart for Rila National Park. We'll arrive at Panichishte and take a chairlift to the hiking route in 25 minutes. We will visit the Seven Rila Lakes, situated at over 6,500 feet (1,981 metres) above sea level.
We will embark on a 5-hour hike to the Seven Lakes, the main attraction of the park, guided by an expert who will share details about the environment. Note that the hike duration can sometimes be reduced to 4 hours.
After visiting the Seven Rila Lakes, we will proceed to the Rila Monastery, a significant architectural site. You will learn about its history during your visit as you explore its 65-foot (19 metres) high walls and notable sites, including the tomb of Boris III, the last Bulgarian king.
At the end of the visit, we will return to Sofia and drop you off at Vasil Levski Square.
