Sofia Guided Tour

At the scheduled time, we'll meet in front of the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and set off on our guided tour of Sofia. We will explore this building, which is the second-largest cathedral in the Balkans, and learn about its namesake, a Russian prince.

During our tour, we will also pass by the Church of Saint George, Sofia's oldest building, constructed by the Romans on the ruins of a Pagan temple in the ancient city of Serdica.

Next, we will visit Saint Sofia Church, a symbol of the Bulgarian capital since the 6th century.

Our journey through Bulgaria's history will continue at The Largo, an architectural ensemble of three Stalinist buildings, including the former House of the Bulgarian Communist Party, the Council of Ministers of Bulgaria, and the President's Office.

Other highlights of our tour will include the Parliament, the former Royal Palace, and the Ivan Vazov National Theatre, the most significant theatre in Bulgaria and one of the city's notable buildings.

After a 2-hour guided tour of Sofia and its must-see sights, we'll conclude our excursion in the city centre.
