Sofia Guided Tour
At the scheduled time, we'll meet in front of the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and begin our guided tour of Sofia. This cathedral, the second-largest in the Balkans, is named after a Russian prince.
We will pass by the Church of Saint George, Sofia's oldest building, constructed by the Romans on the ruins of a Pagan temple in the ancient city of Serdica.
Next, we will visit Saint Sofia Church, a significant symbol of the Bulgarian capital since the 6th century.
Our historical journey continues at The Largo, featuring an architectural ensemble of three Stalinist buildings, including the House of the Bulgarian Communist Party, the Council of Ministers of Bulgaria, and the President's Office.
Additional highlights will include the Parliament, the former Royal Palace, and the Ivan Vazov National Theatre, recognized as the most important theatre in Bulgaria.
After a 2-hour guided tour of Sofia and its key attractions, we will conclude the tour in the city centre.
